Welcome to Pontiac Bars! If you're heading into Pontiac, Michigan for any reason, you'll need to know the best places to drink and dine within the city, and on this site we've got reviews of all our favorites so you can find the ones that are best for you.
Pontiac's bars and restaurants are actually becoming the main destinations of interest now that many local attractions have moved out of the area, including the Arts Beats & Eats Festival which has found a new home in Royal Oak, and of course the Pontiac Silverdome which closed shortly after the Detroit Lions moved back to Detroit's downtown area in 2002.
Though many of the entertainment options that once made Pontiac so exciting have now closed up shop, there are two seasonal attractions that are still going strong without showing any signs of slowing down: Two incredibly popular haunted houses which have received nationwide acclaim. The first is The Realm of Darkness, which has been named America's Best Haunted House many times, and the second is Erebus which holds the coveted world record for the largest haunted house.
Many people are also coming into Pontiac to view the Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial, which is the only one in our state dedicated to firefighters and law enforcement officers who have lost their lives on active duty. You can find it where County Center Drive East intersects with North Telegraph Road.
Another reason that many people are coming into the area in recent months now that Michigan has become home to several movie studios (including Motown Motion PIctures Studios right here in Pontiac) is to watch movies being filmed. The remake of Red Dawn was shot in town in late 2009, and more recently the makers of the movie Sucker used our city as one of several shooting locations for the film.
No matter what your reason is for coming in to town, there are many bars and restaurants for you to enjoy during your stay, and the best transportation between them is a party bus! We highly recommend Party Bus Detroit, a company that our readers have come to rely on. You can find out more about them without leaving our site.
